2016 Commonthreads Wearable Art Showcase
20 Feb, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Follow the success of the 2014 and 2015 Common Threads Wearable Art Showcase, Creative Behaviours has once again been invited by the City of Mandurah to produce the 2016 event.
The show, which premiers at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on Saturday 7th May, will feature an outstanding cast of professional dancers.
Creative Behaviours is also looking to the community to add to this exceptional cast and auditions will be held at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on Saturday 20th February. The show is looking for dancers, actors and models. Experience is fantastic but not compulsory, age is no barrier, and the show enthusiastically welcomes people of any age (from 14yrs+).
Successful applicants will work with the show’s director Helen Duncan and choreographer Laura Boynes to present a selection of wearable art from across Australia and beyond through a highly entertaining performance extravaganza.
Participation is free and the event offers performers excellent rewards including:
· Participation in a series of free professional development workshops
· An opportunity to work in a professional production
· Professional hair and makeup
· Complimentary professional photos
· Complimentary footage of the showcase
This project has been funded by the Western Australian Government through the Department of Culture and the Arts.
