Three one act plays!
At Home with the Herringbones
Written and directed by Bob Charteris.
Lord Herringbone, an aging relic of the ruling class in Britain, and his wife, live in a crumbling country house. Their butler, Wick, is also reaching his ‘use by’ date. The Herringbones are just about broke due to bad investments by the previous Lord Herringbone, and death duties. To make matters worse, an unexpected guest turns their world upside down.
Impossible Crime Trainees
Written by James Forte. Director Sarah Cubbage
A comedy which parodies murder mysteries (such as Jonathon Creek) where the body is found in a room locked on the inside with no killer and no weapon. GLD, the world’s Greatest Living Detective, is about to retire and hand over the family agency to one of his children: Celine or Wat. The two are super competitive as they puzzle over two possible crimes. Audiences may try to beat the detectives to a solution or simply sit back and enjoy their antics.
Written by Matt Thompson directed by Christine Ellis
The local theatre is producing Medea and auditions are in progress. With stop watch in hand, the Stage Manager meticulously micro-manages every minute of the audition process. This results in theatrical mayhem with a twist at the end.
