Wartime Sydney- 1942, a story of love, honour and duty and the conflict between the three ‘ideals’
Kathy, whose husband is away fighting becomes involved with an American ‘deserter’ and the consequences of this liaison make the action of the play.

Sydney, 1942, there are American troops from the Pacific region in town on leave.The scene is a party hosted by Kathy who is having trouble persuading Rebel, an American Marine to leave. She eventually agrees that he can sleep on the sofa, but finds out that in fact he has decided to desert. She is torn between sympathy for him and what she perceives initially as duty to report him. This is a play about love, honour and duty and is the last in our all austelain plays year.
