Synopsis:
The talented and aging actor, Garry Essendine, finds himself in his very own farce. After spending an evening with a young admirer of his, Liz Essendine, comes back from a trip to France and begins to do what she does best, organise her husbands affairs.

Before Garry can go on his life changing trip to Africa, all hell breaks loose and the house is filled with crazed admirers and past lovers. How will they deal with this? And how will Garry decrease his large ego?

Please bring a 1-3 minute monologue to the audition, in an upper middle class British accent preferably.

GARY ESSENDINE
Males aged 18 to 25.
No previous acting experience.
An aged, self obsessed, famous actor who becomes entangled in a series of love affairs that he must use his suave charm to escape from.

LIZ ESSENDINE
Females aged 18 to 25
No previous acting experience
Gary’s ex-wife who remains in contact with him. She is an elegant lady who holds lingering feelings for the aged actor.

JOANNA LYPPIATT
Females aged 18 to 25
No previous acting experience
The seductress wife of Garry’s manager, who manages to cause chaos in the Essendine household. A strong woman that gets what she wants.

ROLAND MAULE
Males aged 18 to 25
No previous acting experience
A crazed playwright with a futuristic production Gary has no wish to be a part of. He is obsessed with Gary and shows this through his hyper-active speech and behaviour.
