SPIKE HEELS – Pygmalion goes awry in this contemporary comedy of manners which explores sexual harassment, misplaced amour, and the possibility of a four sided love triangle. The combatants are a sexy, volatile young woman and three characters- a writer, a lawyer and a fiancée. The setting is Boston, the ending is happy and laughter abounds.

Casting – 2m, 2f

Georgie– Latin American woman who spews forth expletives. Came close to a life of promiscuity as a member of the underclass and has been hired and training as a legal secretary. In love with Andrew and uses sex to get there.

Andrew– Georgie’s scholarly mentor who has saved her from a diversive life, gets her to read Homer and has his best friend hire her. Fights Georgie’s seductive traps.

Edward– a smarmy lawyer, Andrew’s best friend and not shy to sexual attraction with Georgie. Disregards sexual harassment behaviour.

Lydia– Engaged to Andrew, the victim in the relationship or so it seems. A tricky part that has a lot of work between all 3 characters.

All parts are complex, contemporary with intense dialogue.
