The Living Hell (one act play)

About the Show:

Set in September 1945 in Planji, a prisoner of war camp in Malaya, The Living Hell is the story of seven women’s harrowing experience at the hands of their Japanese captors. The story reveals the tensions , frustrations and sadness of these women faced with violence, illness, lack of food & death.

To add to this tinder box of emotion, a fellow prisoner is having an intimate relationship with one of her captors.

This play forms part of Harbour Theatre’s short play season entitled “Trapped”

Please bring a recent colour head-shot and a brief resume of previous experience. Audition material is available ahead of time, as requested
